How we care
Caring for every stage of life.
Ageing in place
As residents’ needs change over time, we tailor our care to where they are at. Our core philosophy of ‘aging in place’ allows residents to remain in the home and community that they know, no matter what their needs are. Couples can also rest assured that they will be able to remain together in the same home even if each person has different levels of care.
Our highly trained staff is flexible in the styles of care they deliver for each individual. And our goal for reach resident is simple – to support their wellbeing and quality of life.
Personalised care
Every resident is unique. We create a personalised care plan to cater for each of our residents. So whether they desire an independent lifestyle, low-level care or medical therapies, we are sensitive to their needs.
Our staff is on hand 24/7 to help residents with a number of daily tasks. Many residents require assistance with:
- Bathing, dressing, supervision of medication, managing medications, mobility, toileting and eating
- Medical services including podiatry, physiotherapy and speech therapy
- Various aids and equipment
- Continence management and continence aids
- Oxygen therapy
Dementia care
We understand that finding alternative care for a loved one with dementia is a challenging decision. We want to make the process of joining the community at Eva Tilley as simple and straightforward.
We work to support the resident, the carer and family members through this transition. We are also committed to providing for those with younger onset dementia and are sensitive to what this entails for family members and friends.
Our dementia specific unit offers safe and attentive care for residents with dementia. Our highly trained staff is dedicated to supporting each resident’s needs, whilst encouraging them to maximize their autonomy, independence and participation in every day life.
Respite care
We understand that primary carers may need to place a loved one in short-term care for a variety of reasons. We offer dedicated short-term respite accommodation that gives peace of mind to carers – knowing that their loved ones will be well looked after.
Residential respite is also an option for those who have recently been discharged from hospital and may need temporary care until they feel confident enough to return home.
Many people are eligible for up to 63 days per financial year of government subsidised respite care. Simply by taking an aged care assessment, potential residents can qualify for highly affordable, quality respite care at Eva Tilley.
Our respite care can cater for a variety of needs. To find out if respite care is the best option for you, your family member or friend, contact myagedcare to arrange an assessment.
Palliative care
We believe in providing each resident with the best possible quality of life as they reach the end of their journey. We work to ensure the comfort and dignity of our residents within the familiar and safe environment of their home at Eva Tilley.
Our holistic approach to palliative care is attentive to physical, emotional, cultural, social and spiritual needs. We are also mindful of the impact on family members and loved ones, and we are always on hand to provide emotional and practical support.
